Long time DC activist Barrett Brick lost his battle with cancer and died September 22, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Bethesda Maryland. Barrett Brick played a significant role in the creation and development not only of DC’s LGBT community but the national and international LGBT communities as well. In 2007 Rainbow History recognized Barrett Brick as a Community Pioneer.
The board of the Rainbow History Project joins with Barrett’s many friends and our entire community in mourning his loss and send our condolences to his husband Antonio Ruffini.
