From June 1999 through December 2000, Washington DC had a biweekly collection of interviews, bon mots from the town's female impersonators, and background stories on the culture and history of the performing queens of the nation's capital. Washington has long had more drag shows, and performers, than New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or other gay cities. In fact, only Dallas and Atlanta outdo DC. Some of the Drag Rag's interviews with DC's performers are at Interviews.Complete issues of the Drag Rag are online in Adobe .pdf files. Some of these files are quite large and will take some time to load.
