In the counterculture anti-war atmosphere of the late 60s and early 70s, Washington, DC produced two popular local newspapers, the Washington Free Press
and the Quicksilver Times. Both papers printed occasional articles on gay and lesbian issues. We present articles from both papers as research background for that era.
